Meeting of the Minds and Qualcomm® Incorporated believe that the mobile device will continue to be one of the most important connectivity hubs in making our lives more efficient, productive, and safe. We invite all software developers to harness the technology in these devices and create a mobile application that can improve citizen’s livability in our cities. Hackathon participants are welcome to focus on any of the critical elements which improve city living: transport, energy, food, water, buildings, infrastructure; etc. You can build web or mobile applications in the language and platform of your choice. A jury of experts will be judging the hackers. The team with the winning app will receive a cash prize of $5,000.

The top 3 teams with the best technology solutions will pitch their application to the Meeting of the Minds 2014 conference on Thursday morning — which includes an audience of 350+ urban sustainability and technology leaders from Fortune 500 companies and leading NGOs from around the world.
